Since 2013, our college has been cooperating with UGM University (Universitas Gadjah Mada) in Indonesia for lecturers and students’ exchange programs. College’s Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Yin Ximing has visited UGM University and signed contract, which lays the foundation for our first lecturer exchange program.

In the past two months, our college lecturers Ms. Li Xiaona from Mechanical Engineering School, Ms. Jia Liping from Foreign Language School have been working with UGM University’s lecturers, Mr. Beni from Mechanical Engineering School and Mr. Cisya from Foreign Language School on many working tasks, such as finishing research papers, discussion of professional curriculum, giving seminars and training programs etc.

In their spare time, Mr. Beni and Mr. Cisya have also visited our college history museum, ancient furniture museum, as well as some famous historical cultural heritage in Chengdu. Both lecturers were deeply impressed by CDTC’s long education history and philosophy; in the meantime, they also became fans for Chengdu, a city with beautiful history. Delicious hotpot, spicy local cuisines, especially CDTC’s lecturers and students with great hospitality, has made them feel warm and sweet.

Through these lecturer exchange program, lecturers from both countries have interpreted their own teaching theories, expressed their teaching methods in their special ways, which improved our CDTC lecturers’ foreign language skills and broadened horizons; Indonesian lecturers’ humorous, vivid teaching styles have also impressed our students deeply; the seminars about Indonesian culture have also widen our student’s view; they’ve also participated in college’s student activities.

Our college lecturers have also given their professional lectures to Indonesian students in UGM, taken part in seminars with UGM students in Foreign Language School and Mechanical Engineering School. Their dedicated attitude and professional lectures have won recognitions from UGM lecturers and students.

This is the first attempt for our college to have lecturers teaching overseas. Based on the progressed we’ve made this year, we are convinced that we can yield fruitful results in the near future.
